Bio
Kristin Rae is the author of young adult novels Wish You Were Italian and What You Always Wanted. She was brought up on classic movies and often daydreams that her life is one big musical number. A former figure skating coach, LEGO merchandiser, and photographer, she’s now happy to create stories while pretending to ignore the carton of ice cream in the freezer. Kristin lives in Houston with her husband, daughter, their mini Aussiedoodle, and a flock of chickens.
The not so stuffy bio: Born and raised in Houston, Texas, I often dream of living in Colorado's Rocky Mountains. I graduated from Texas A&M University with a B.S. in Sociology and started writing my first novel (which no one will ever see) at my graduation ceremony (it was long, I brought paper), realizing a little too late I may have studied the wrong thing. I often refuse to buy art for my walls because I think I can make it myself, so a lot of my walls are blank but my closets are full of paintings and crafts that are just okay. I love baking, I write songs and sing in a country band, I forgot how to play the guitar and the piano but plan to relearn and add the ukulele into the mix, and I don't love running but I sign up for races anyway (there's a medal at the end). My very handy and outdoorsy husband is a foot taller than me. We have a daughter who looks just like me and will probably also be taller than me one day. I'm already jealous about it.

A charming and addictive read. Devour this delicious treat like a double scoop of gelato.

Rae's second novel in the If Only series proves that she knows her teen audience well, delivering a story that is well-paced, engaging, and enjoyable . . . snappy dialogue and compulsively readable prose render the characters fresh and the situations entertaining. Sure to please any teen who loves the arts or dreams of musical-style romance.
